I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, disconnection or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.

My practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families. I enjoy seeing folks individually, but I also believe that engaging partners or family members can deepen the healing. I view problematic behaviors as a symptom to an imbalanced system, so I like to engage the system if that is possible. I offer a number of different types of therapy.

Individual Hourly Therapy

We meet for at least an hour each week or every other week. Meeting this way ensures consistency and accountability. I tend to use a combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Talk therapy is helpful, but some people have a hard time just “talking” – so I will also use art, music, and other experiential initiatives to engage people in therapy.  This is billable to insurance.

Couples Therapy

I have seen profound positive change through couples therapy, more so than individual work. It allows for both partners to be present – and the cycle that couples get into at home becomes alive in the therapy room. I practice from Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I encourage couples to meet weekly for at least an hour, ideally 90 minutes. Insurance covers an hour of therapy per day, any additional time is out of pocket.

Extended Therapy

For some individuals, an hour a week goes by too quickly. At times, it feels like we have just gotten into the root of an issue and then “times up!” I have found that meeting for 3-4 hours in one session allows for more depth in a time efficient way. Clients have given me feedback that they get more healing from an extended session than from many weeks of one hour, weekly sessions. If this is something that interests you then please call or email. I tend to be booked out for months at a time for weekly sessions, so this is a good way to get in quickly. Again, insurance will only cover for one hour of therapy. The rest of the session will be billed out of pocket.
